Uganda enjoys a warm equatorial climate with little seasonal variation, making it an ideal destination all year round. Plains average 21–30°C, while mountain regions are cooler, especially at night. Rainfall is higher in the mountains, creating lush, green landscapes. Even during rainy months, travel and safaris remain enjoyable and rewarding.
Malaria is present in Uganda, though risks vary by region. We recommend consulting your doctor for the latest advice on prophylaxis before travel. All luxury lodges provide mosquito nets, and we suggest packing insect repellent for added protection.

Yes. Most visitors require a visa to enter Uganda. This can be obtained online via the official Uganda e-visa system prior to arrival. Ensure your passport is valid for at least six months from your entry date.
Uganda is a year-round destination thanks to its equatorial climate. On the plains, temperatures are pleasantly warm between 21°C and 30°C. In the mountains, it is cooler, especially at night, with lows of around 10°C.
The main rainy seasons are March–April and October–November, though showers can occur at any time, especially in gorilla regions. Rain is usually short-lived, clears the air beautifully, and adds to the adventure. Gorilla trekking remains open all year with the right equipment and a porter’s assistance. We advise traveling whenever it is most convenient for you.
